SUN EARTH DAY Posted March 9, 2010 11:40 pm
Does anyone know if there will be a Sun Earth Day at Stennis this year? Last year it was at the end on March.

At this point, we have not been contacted by Stennis.

I am not expecting Stennis to sponsor Sun-Earth Day this year.

First of all, they typically hold the event within two weeks or so of the vernal equinox, and second, the Stennis Educational Resource Center monthly schedules do not include any prior training for teachers in preparation for a 2010 Sun-Earth Day.

This would have been the 10th continuous year of PAS participation at this outreach event.

I spoke to someone at Stennis today. They may have Sun Earth Day a little later this year, but there are no plans for it at the moment because of scheduling conflicts.

We don't need no stink'n NASA!

Why won't the PAS do Sun/Earth Day themselves! I'm sure a people venue could be found such as a shopping center or park.

Not this time me buck-o! This is no job for a half dead senior citizen! Let one of the young pharoh's tackle this one! It's the same "old" members doing all the work in this org. Surely there is some young, proactive, intelligent soul in the PAS that can pull this off!
